BTM 2.0 — Decorative Mineral Render
CHARACTERISTICS

Thin-coat mineral render with a scraped texture is a dry mineral mixture with a grain size of 2.0 mm. Made from hydraulic binders, modified with polymers. It is characterised by high water vapour permeability and high resistance to water action once fully cured. The product is also classified as a single-coat mortar of type OC, with a compressive strength category of CS III and a water absorption category of W3. Available in white. It can also be painted with facade paints.

Polymer-modified mineral render with scraped texture and enhanced hydrophobic properties.

PROPERTIES

Intended for manual and spray application on exterior facades and interior walls. The product must be used as a finishing coat over mesh-reinforced base coats in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), no earlier than 3 days after their completion, or on other common mineral substrates such as concrete, cement or cement-lime renders, etc., after a curing period of 14 days following their application.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be sound, dry and free from dust, dirt, salt efflorescence and organic residues (oils, grease, etc.). Any algae and fungi present must be removed. Prime non-uniform or highly absorbent mineral substrates with a suitably diluted primer. In cases of rising damp, damp-proofing measures must be put in place.

HOW TO USE

Mechanically mix the contents of the bag with approximately 5.5 litres of clean water to obtain a homogeneous paste of the desired consistency. Leave the mixture to rest for approximately 10 minutes, then stir again thoroughly (do not add water); use within one hour. On a properly prepared and primed substrate, apply the render in a thin coat (equal to the grain thickness) using a stainless steel float. After a short period of time — depending on conditions at the time of application — begin texturing with a plastic float. Spread the render using circular movements. When applying the render, follow the general wet-on-wet application rule. If the paste thickens during this time, stir it again vigorously without adding water.

The temperature of the substrate and the surrounding environment during application and drying must be between +5 °C and +30 °C, with an optimum application temperature of +20 °C. Finished surfaces must always be protected (with screens, tarpaulins, etc.) from variable weather conditions until the render is fully dry — i.e. for a minimum of 3 days after application. In cold temperatures and high humidity, drying time is significantly extended. During this period, the protection time must be extended accordingly.

Failure to follow the above recommendations or inadequate substrate preparation may result in permanent colour differences on the render surface (efflorescence, staining), and in extreme cases a reduction in durability or even delamination. Surfaces exposed to render splashes must be protected, and any soiling must be removed before drying. Wash tools with water immediately after use.

The information contained in this technical sheet is intended to ensure optimal use of the product, but does not form the basis of the Manufacturer's legal liability, as production conditions are beyond its control. Works must be carried out in accordance with good construction practice. Any modification to the product composition is prohibited and may significantly reduce the quality of the material.

EFFICIENCY

Average consumption is approximately 3.2 kg per m² for a coat thickness of 2.5 mm.

STORAGE

Store in the original tightly sealed packaging at a temperature between +5 °C and +35 °C, protected from moisture. When stored correctly, the product remains usable for 12 months from the manufacturing date indicated on the packaging.
